Your responsibilities

We have a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about graphic design and marketing, wanting to start their career and gain a broad set of business skills in a thriving industry. This opportunity for a Digital Marketing Apprentice to gain a Digital Marketing Level 3 qualification, and will report to the Marketing and Business Excellence Manager to deliver marketing activities online and across our 9 sites in the UK. We are looking for an Apprentice who already has digital and graphic design skills to assist with duties, which include: 

•             Management of the Social Media platforms

•             Website management and content creation

•             External supplier relationships, i.e. agencies

•             Presentation creation

•             Supporting marketing campaigns

The Business Excellence team was set up 18 months ago to support the business with finding efficiencies in processes, looking for new solutions to help us work smarter, to promote the brand externally and to develop new sales channels.

Prospects:

Following the completion of your apprenticeship you will have a choice whether to complete a higher level qualification specific to the role, still as an apprentice in the company.

We view the role becoming a permanent role upon successful completion of the set milestones that have incremental increases to the starting salary for the permanent role: Business Marketing Executive within the Business Excellence team.

However, whilst completing the qualification we appreciate they will experience other areas of business and may feel their aspirations are to progress in a different area. We would fully support this if a position became available and it was seen to benefit to the business also.

Your profile

Essential skills:

  • Digital and graphic design experience
  • Efficient in Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator
  • Computer literate with excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Good communication and good written English skills
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation

Requirements and prospects:

  • The ability to work both independently and part of a team
  • Work constructively with other departments in the business
  • Confident building professional relationships external suppliers (i.e. agencies)
  • Support the team and work effectively together
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Good analytical skills

Personal qualities:

  • Adaptable, flexible, energetic and enthusiastic with an open minded approach
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Creative

Essential qualifications:

  • GCSE grade C+ or equivalent in literacy & mathematics

Desired knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the materials, manufacturing or engineering industry although full training will be given
