Job Description

We have a new, dynamic role as a Maintenance Engineer at our site in Darton.  Working as part of a small team you will be servicing, maintaining and repairing, Waterjet & other types of machinery. You will also be involved with general building, electrical and mechanical maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about Waterjet machines and how to service and maintain them.

 

Working Hours:

  • Mon to Thur – 7.45 – 16.30
  • Fri 8.00 – 13.00

Main Accountabilities:

  • All aspects service repair of Waterjet, router & other types of machinery including set up and operation of various machines
  • General warehouse duties
  • Raising all maintenance issues and accurately recording of all details on the computer system
  • Promote continuous improvement processes to minimise downtime & productivity in all operational processes.
  • Fault finding
  • Ensure conformance to Health and Safety operating regulations for employees, visitors and self whilst engaged on company business.
  • Assisting contractors with related duties

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

We are looking for someone who has a good base knowledge and experience of machine maintenance and who is proactive and willing to learn and develop their skills.

Essential:

  • Electrical / Mechanical qualification level 3 or Machine maintenance qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of reading technical, mechanical, electrical drawings
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Self-motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical and numerate.
  • PC Literate.
  • The ability to understand and use all types of hand tools & testing equipment equipment

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in waterjet cutting
  • Formal engineering qualification or engineering apprenticeship
  • Understanding and operating control systems
  • Welding / Fabrication
  • Ability to use all relevant areas of manufacturing computer based control system and all its supporting requirements
  • Current counterbalance mechanical handling licenses
  • Machine Maintenance skills applicable to the type of equipment operated
  • A working knowledge of computer windows based applications
  • IPAF
