Job Description

We have a new opportunity for a Finance Business Partner who will liase and work with the relevant Revenue streams and Business Areas to drive profitable growth and identify efficiencies within the business, whilst maximising Cash Performance and Returns on Capital Employed

We are open to applicants Nationwide but you must be able to commute to one of our offices on a Hybrid basis at either Preston, Milton Keynes or Birmingham.

Your main duties will be:

  • Liaise with Commercial, Operational and Finance teams to identify and drive business opportunities
  • To model and implement profitable sales contracts and other opportunities
  • Provide effective Cost Controls and identify opportunities to improve cost performance
  • Drive Cashflow performance by partnering with Commercial team and Supply Chain to achieve Capital Employed Targets
  • Compile Business Workbooks with local Business Teams to test profitability of proposed new business.
  • To participate in the generation of Forecasts and annual Budgets, challenging Business for improved performance
  • Review existing business in respect to Margin and profitability, identifying low performers and work with business to establish improvement plans.
  • To be responsible for month end Management Account entries for specific Business Areas and Revenue Streams
  • To be focal point for the monthly management reporting pack for the business
  • Supporting Finance and Commercial Teams regarding reporting requirements

 

Your profile

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

  • A good communicator who is comfortable working with stakeholders across various aspects of the business
  • Proven experience in a financial role or CIMA or ACCA qualified or part qualified
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite, particularly emphasis on Excel
  • Proven ability to integrate with team and build good working relationships
  • Business focused, with a desire to drive beneficial outcomes across the business 
  • Experience with PowerBI would be advantageous
