Job Description

Here at our Newtownards site, we have a new opportunity for an Account Support team member to join us where you will be managing a Key Customer account. In this role you will provide,  efficient co-ordination of sales right through from order execution to delivery as per the customer’s instructions and company’s operational ability. You will be responsible for monitoring contracted stock levels and maintaining optimum levels based on actual utilisation and predictions from the customer.  You will be the point of contact for the customer where all enquires will be managed efficiently, resolving problems within a short response time.  Regular contact will be made also with internal departments establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships.

 

This role is a total of 38.5 hours a week

Mon-Thurs - 8:00am-16:30pm and Friday 8:00am -12:30pm

 

Key duties:

  • Load orders from call off/purchase order and co-ordinate to achieve on time delivery to customer/sub-contractor base
  • Regular contact with customer, by telephone and email
  • Prepare delivery/export paperwork
  • Maintain customer and supplier order books and reporting on delivery performance
  • Work closely with other team members, Operational, Quality, Finance and Credit Control departments to maintain smooth running of account
  • Monitoring customer accounts using reports from SAP
  • Contribute to the control and maintenance of contracted stock levels in accordance with meeting customer requirements and company’s objectives
  • Reporting monthly performance in line with set KPI’s
  • Prepare and follow up quotations to maximise revenue and profitability
  • Work within the company’s financial and administrative procedures regarding health and safety and environmental practices

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Relevant experience of administration liasing directly with customers and problem solving
  • Good communicator and interpersonal skills
  • Well organised and the ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Keen eye for detail and excellent data accuracy
  • Computer literacy; especially Excel spreadsheets (formulae), Word and Outlook
  • Ability to make calculations for customers orders
  • Highly motivated and the ability to encourage others and work well in a team
  • Excellent customer service by telephone and personally and ability to deal with difficult situations
