The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Professional to join our team at Vetchberry Steels in Witton, Birmingham. The role of Account Manager Business Development will focus on ensuring profitable growth and contributing toward business goals and targets. You will be joining a great team who works collaboratively and supports each other to deliver business goals.  We are the leaders in our industry and so you will be joining an organisation that has excellent career development and encourages innovation at all levels.

Your main duties will be:

  • Identifying new Business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, and new partnerships
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities and delivering results
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Creating Sales forecasts and actively working towards them.
  • Delivering sales targets
  • Develop growth strategy focussed on both financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets
  • Arrange business meetings and business reviews with existing and prospective customers to discuss future demands, stock levels, performance, business opportunities and ‘Materials as a Service’
  • Promote the company’s capabilities and tailor towards customer’s needs.
  • Prepare sales contracts
  • Keep records of sales activities, revenues, and invoicing
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after sales support
  • Coordination of activities both internal and external to ensure contract deliverables are met
  • Work in conjunction with Credit Control on cash collection and credit limits.
  • Work with the wider business on MaaS strategy
  • Ensure all functions are performed in accordance with tk compliance requirements

  • Slit Coil, Sheet and Blanking Product and Process experience
