Job Description

Your responsibilities

As a Production Operative, part of the Deburring team you will ensure that all products are handled, finished, processed whilst adhering to customer. What is Deburring? Deburring is removing the sharp edge and edge finishing on sheet metal parts using both hand tools and automated machines. These can be sheets (under 6mm thick) or plates (over 6mm thick) so it will be a range of products you will be finishing. This can be a quite repetitive activity on some days but we have a relaxed working environment with a radio.

Our Darton site is a sheet and plate processing plant, capable of waterjet cutting, guillotining and routing. Darton is part of the supply chain which creates parts for airplanes, medical equipment, MRI scanners and construction equipment.

  • Previous experience metal handling
  • Previous experience in CNC work
