Your responsibilities

We are looking for a detail orientated Warehouse Stock Controller to join our large team at our Preston site. Stock is a key area to ensure profitability and efficiency for our customers. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Stock Controller who can manage daily stock counts, create stock plans and update our SAP system.

Our Preston site specialises in Aerospace specific products and CNC machining, having the most impressive warehouse of all our sites. As an aerospace site, all our products need to be accurate and traceable back to us to ensure safety and accountability, so your organisational and attention to detail skills are imperative. There are lots of different areas in the warehouse for you to grow into and learn about, all with brand new resources such as machines and fork lifts. The canteen has just had a huge refurb too!

Your main duties will be:

• Key owner & accountable for stock accuracy
• Creating stock plans
• Do daily stock checks to ensure SAP system and manual counts are accurate and updated
• Controls & maintains stock management process
• Stock takes, stock checks & daily P.I
• Liaising / working with Goods In to receive & land new stock deliveries
• Report any quality issues to Quality team in a timely manner
• Identify & report any quality issues (damage, shortage and overages) to the Quality Team
• To support the culture of continuous improvement
• To work productively to ensure all KPI’s are met, results reported daily / weekly / monthly
• Pursue a policy of continuous quality improvement within the administration team

Your profile

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

• Attention to detail
• Previous experience in stock control
• Warehousing experience
• IT literate
• Methodical brain
• Well organised

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:

• Previous experience using SAP
• Metallics/metal stockholding knowledge
• Forklift Truck licence
• Scissor Lift (MEWP) licence
