Your responsibilities

We are looking for an experience Production Operative to support at our Newtownards site in Belfast. You will handle aluminium lithium sheet, aluminium plate, sheet and extrusion material from the picking team and set the saw our guillotine to the correct dimension from the order. You will then check the accuracy of the cut and if all is correct, finish and pack the order.

The cut parts come in all shapes and sizes, which means there is not always a pallet that will fit your material, therefore in some cases we make pallets to size using various hand tools.

We have two sites in Belfast, one in Dunmurry and the other in Newtownards. At our Newtownards site, we cut plate and sheet metal mainly for the aerospace industry using saw's and guillotines.

Your main duties will involve:

• Ensuring we have warehouse traceability
• Cutting metal material
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and the checking in of stock
• Sorting and locating materials on to racks, and shelves
• Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
• Maintaining a tidy and clean warehouse at all times

• Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

• Flexibility to work across multiple departments

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:

• Previous Production/warehouse experience
• Fork Life Truck Licence

• 39 hours per week. £20,077 per annum +20% shift allowance if working past 7pm or before 7am
• Main shift: Mon-Thu 7:15am-4pm Fridays 7am-1pm.
• Lots of overtime available, on Saturdays before 12pm paid 1.5x pay rate and after 12pm paid double time. Double time on Sundays. Night shifts 3pm-1am.
