Job Description

Your responsibilities

We have a unique position for a Manufacturing Quality Admin in our site based in Darton. As the Manufacturing Quality Admin, you will be an important member of the operation as you will complete visual and dimensional inspection of all profile parts, including measuring and counting but also using systems we have in place. You will also have an added responsibility to complete Certifications of Conformance paperwork and non-conformance reports on parts that don’t meet the Quality standard.

Our Darton site is a sheet and plate processing plant, capable of waterjet cutting, guillotining and routing. Darton is part of the supply chain which creates parts for airplanes, medical equipment, MRI scanners and construction equipment.

Your main duties will be:

  • Using SAP system and management systems to navigate various documentation
  • Visual and dimensional inspection of all profile parts, including measuring and counting. Using Vernier’s, Virtek LQC and Design Templates.
  • Completing Certificate of Conformance paperwork and signing documentation to confirm all requirement are met.
  • Completing Non-conformance reports on any parts that do not meet Quality Standard.
  • Complete First Article Inspections as per customer requirements and complete inspection reports
  • Identifying, labelling or Part Marking work according to customer requirements.
  • Packing Parts securely, wrapping palletised items and storing completed jobs ready for Despatch.

Your profile

Essential experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Computer literate
  • Good attention to detail
  • Competent with the use of manual measuring equipment
  • Have a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot none conformances
  • Ability to understand and Prioritise Work in accordance with despatch Work List
  • Flexible with the ability to change schedule’s as and when required
  • Good communication skills and confidence to make on the spot decisions

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Virtek LQC Experience
  • Understanding of material specs and mil certifications
  • Experience within the Aerospace Sector
  • Competent with Microsoft applications
  • SAP experience
